June was another active month. I did better at HamCom than I thought, but none of the IsoCats went to new homes. Sold several charger kits, and a few other items including the spare IC703.

I'm building some IsoCats for Summerfest and to offer again on the web. Several expressed interest in the project, but not in building one. I hope to have at least five or six ready in time, along with the cable kits. I'm planning to build cables for Yaesu and ICOM for now.

We did find time to get away to the hill country for a couple of days of R&R. We stayed in a cabin outside Wimberley and just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery.

In July, I'm going to the Texas City hamfest. I will probably have only one or two completed IsoCats, but plenty of kits and of course the battery charger kits.

Busy month. I am packaging kits for HamCom in Plano next month. I'm also working on a couple of new projects that I hope to have available by the end of the year.

Thanks to input from Mark, K5LXP and others, there are some new templates and some updated information to assist with assembly.  Be sure to visit the IsoCat page for the most recent information.

The IsoCat article is published! Response has been far greater than I expected. I have ordered the parts for a second production run, and they have been received. That's the good news. The bad news is that I have had to raise prices to reflect increased parts costs. Some of the components are no longer available in non-RoHS part numbers while others just have had a price increase. Not to worry, though - the parts are still available, they just cost more.
I have shipped all the kits and the assembled units ordered through March 22. Everything I had has been shipped. I am assembling kits this week and plan to assemble some completed units next week. This may result in a one to week delay in shipping. I have all the parts in stock, it is simply a matter of sorting the parts into kits. I do have bare boards ready for immediate shipment. Thanks in advance for your patience.
No shows scheduled this month - the next one is in Belton in April.

I am assembling kits and completed units to fill the orders received after March 22. I plan to ship most of these orders by April 6. I'm also putting together kits for Belton on the 14th.

Update: Belton was fun, though I didn't sell many IsoCat kits. There was a lot of interest, and I expect some will order kits off the website. The IcoTune was the front runner this time. We're thinking about going to Rayne, LA. in May, but will have to look at our work schedules and stock levels before deciding. This is a non-profit operation for the present, but is something we enjoy doing, so we're doing it.

I have two units to get in the mail by the 20th, then package as many units as I have parts for so I have stock to take to HamCom. Depending on how that goes, I may actually get to work on a repair project I have had on the shelf for a couple of years. I'm rebuilding an old Zenith table radio (1946 vintage) that belonged to my grandmother. I picked up a tube tester and a signal generator in Belton as part of that project. I'm also working on a couple of new products I hope to offer by the end of the year.

One show planned this month, in Orange on the 24th. We will probably go to the one on Smithville also, but just to look around.
My article on the IsoCat should be in the March/April QEX. I signed off on the proofs during the last two weeks of January.
